Frequently Asked Questions

Exosomes are nanoparticles naturally produced by plants. They are a carrier technology designed to help selected ingredients distribute evenly across the skin’s surface for optimized cosmetic performance. Exosomes may also enhance the delivery of active ingredients to the skin, helping to maximize their cosmetic benefits.
Yes. SKINSOO products contain only plant-derived exosomes, obtained from botanical extracts. From a safety perspective, plant exosomes are generally considered to present a lower risk due to the absence of human biological material and the reduced potential for pathogen transmission. The use of exosomes derived from human cells, tissues, or cell cultures is prohibited under Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, Annex II. Such materials may pose a risk of contamination with viruses, prions, or other infectious agents.
Yes. SKINSOO products are formulated without added fragrance and drying alcohols and have been dermatologically tested for skin compatibility. Their formulations are designed to support skin comfort and are suitable for sensitive skin.
Yes. SKINSOO products are suitable for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Their formulations do not contain ingredients that are generally considered unsuitable for use during these periods when used as directed. If you have specific concerns or a high-risk pregnancy, we recommend consulting your healthcare professional before introducing new skincare products.
No. SKINSOO products do not contain drying alcohols and are formulated to support skin comfort and hydration.
No. SKINSOO products are not tested on animals. In accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, Article 18, cosmetic products whose final formulation, ingredients, or combinations of ingredients have been tested on animals for the purpose of complying with the requirements of this Regulation cannot be placed on the European market. SKINSOO fully complies with these requirements.
All SKINSOO products have been dermatologically tested and are suitable for use from 12 years of age. As with any skincare product, individuals with sensitive or reactive skin may wish to perform a patch test before first use by applying a small amount of product to the inner forearm and monitoring the skin’s response.
Yes. SKINSOO exosome-based skincare products are designed for daily use as part of a regular skincare routine. For optimal results, they should be applied after cleansing (and toning, where applicable) and followed by a moisturizer. Consistent daily use helps maximize the cosmetic benefits of the active ingredients.
The timeframe for visible results depends on the specific skin concern being addressed and the consistency of product use. Some benefits can be observed shortly after application, while others require several weeks of regular use. Clinical testing of SKINSOO products has shown: Hydration: Immediate improvement in skin hydration, with effects lasting for up to 8 hours after application. Skin barrier support (TEWL reduction): A measurable reduction in transepidermal water loss (TEWL) was observed within 1 hour of application. Visible improvements in skin barrier function typically become more noticeable with continued use over several weeks. Reduction of dark spots and uneven skin tone: Visible improvement after 6 weeks (42 days) of regular use. Reduction of redness: Visible improvement after 6 weeks of regular use. Reduction of excess sebum production: Visible improvement after 6 weeks of regular use.
Exosomes are an innovative cosmetic technology with the potential to support complex cellular communication. However, it is not possible to generally state that exosomes are more effective than peptides or growth factors. Their performance depends on several factors, including the type and origin of the exosomes, their quality, concentration, stability within the formulation, and the specific skincare concern being addressed. The overall effectiveness of a skincare product depends on the formulation as a whole, not on a single ingredient or technology alone.
We generally do not recommend combining products from different SKINSOO ranges, with the exception of the Cleanser. Each skincare routine has been carefully designed so that the active ingredients in the individual steps work synergistically, helping to maximize the overall cosmetic benefits. For skin that is both dry and affected by pigmentation, we recommend starting with the HydraCell Exosome range to improve hydration and support the skin barrier. Once the skin is well-hydrated and balanced, you can transition to the LuminaCell Exosome range to focus on improving skin radiance and the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
This depends on the product range: HydraCell Exosome Cleanser: Yes. It is suitable for removing light makeup and can be used on the eye area. PurifyCell Exosome Cleanser: No. It is primarily designed to cleanse oily and blemish-prone skin and is not intended for makeup removal, particularly around the eyes.
Cleansers are rinse-off products, meaning their contact time with the skin is relatively short. As a result, the cosmetic benefits of active ingredients are generally more limited compared to leave-on products such as toners, serums, and creams. For this reason, a dedicated LuminaCell cleanser would not provide significant additional value within the routine. If you have dry or sensitive skin, we recommend using the HydraCell Exosome Cleanser, a gentle and universal cleanser suitable for all skin types. For oily or blemish-prone skin, we recommend the PurifyCell Exosome Cleanser, which is specifically formulated to help remove excess sebum and impurities while supporting clearer-looking skin.
Yes. The HydraCell Exosome Serum and LuminaCell Exosome Serum are suitable for use alongside microneedling treatments. They are formulated without added fragrance or drying alcohols and do not contain potentially irritating ingredients such as retinoids or exfoliating acids. Their lightweight formulations make them suitable for use with microneedling devices designed to enhance the absorption of cosmetic ingredients. However, individual contraindications should always be considered, and microneedling should only be performed on healthy, intact skin in accordance with the device manufacturer's instructions.
Yes. The HydraCell Exosome range is particularly suitable for supporting skin hydration and helping maintain the skin barrier during retinoid treatment, which can often lead to dryness, tightness, and increased skin sensitivity. Its formulations are designed to provide hydration and skin comfort, making them a suitable complement to a retinoid-based skincare regimen. When using retinoids, it is essential to apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF) as the final step of your morning skincare routine to help protect the skin from UV-induced damage and increased photosensitivity.
